Mary Jane (Luff) Smith

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Mary Jane (Luff) Smith. She was survived by her daughters, Brenda Ivey, Penny (Smith) Shockley, son in-law Greg Shockley, Kelly (Smith) Stevenson, and son in-law Scott Stevenson. Mom had several roles in her life. She was a Lab Technician, Bookkeeper, Medical Biller, and Prothonotary for Kent County Superior Court at time of her retirement. Her greatest and most adored role for her was Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and taking care of her beloved companion Tater her fur baby. She was graceful, kind, loving and was a servant of God. We rejoice knowing that she is with our Lord and at peace.

Services will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W Front Street, Milford, De 19963, on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11:00 am. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will be private.
