SEAFORD – Mary Turk Rusnak Amundson, 103, of Seaford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
Mary worked for U. S. Metals Refining Co. as a Lab Technician for 26 years. She loved to cook Hungarian food and watch wildlife and boats on the Nanticoke River. Despite a hectic schedule, praying for and spending time with family and her many friends were her passion and delight. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker, Mary was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for those she loved. She was the matriarch of the family, a force to be reckoned with and the superglue who held the family together.
She was a native of Carteret, NJ before moving to the Poconos and then moving to Royersford, PA to live near her grandson and great grandchildren. She moved to Seaford 2-1/2 years ago where she was lovingly cared for in her last years by her daughter and son-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Turk, her husband John Rusnak, her husband Melvin Amundson, her son Robert Rusnak, her 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Carol Webster, her son-in-law, Morris Webster, her daughter-in-law, Carol Rusnak, her grandchildren, Scott and Anna Marie Lanza, Christopher and Becky Rusnak, Robbie and Leigh Rusnak. Her great grandchildren, C. J. Rusnak, Deven Rusnak, Jeremy Lanza, Samuel Lanza, Ryan Lanza, Sophia Lanza, along with a host of other loving nieces, nephew, adopted relatives, doctors and friends. She leaves a cataclysmic hole in the lives of many as well as a multitude of memories to draw from. Let There Be Peace On Earth!
