Michael M. Ritter

Michael “Mike” M. Ritter, 60, of Milton, DE was born August 29, 1961 and passed away much too soon on January 6, 2022. Mike grew up in Lewes and attended school at Cape Henlopen where he graduated in 1979. Mike worked at Melvin L. Joseph Construction Company for 25 plus years and also held many side jobs. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and football, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and taking his father fishing or to the local race track in Georgetown. He was also an avid collector of model trains and toy tractors. Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debbie, his two daughters, Rebecca Roswell (Ernie), Heather Gray (JD), and two grandsons whom he adored, Wyatt and Cole Roswell. He is also survived by his parents Frank and Janet (Heiser) Ritter, a brother Mark (Valda) Ritter, a sister Tracy Latham and nephew Kyle Latham. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Frank Latham. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton with viewing from 11:00 a.m 1:00 pm. Masks required. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton, DE.
