Mildred Ann Hudson

October 19, 1953 — April 30, 2024

Mildred Ann Hudson, age 70, of Georgetown, Delaware, went home to be with the Lord at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, on April 30, 2024.

Born on October 19, 1953, in Milford, she was a daughter to the late William James Callaway and Shirley (Smith) Callaway. Her life was a testament to her unshakable faith and the love she generously shared with all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Jane Parker, sister Marie Holloway, and brothers, Jimmy, Jay, and Ronnie Calloway.

Mildred's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Sidney Hudson, and their loving daughter Jennifer Burton and husband Mark, all of Georgetown. Her siblings, Barbara Ward of Georgetown, Debi Ward and husband Scott of Laurel, Michael Calloway and wife Linda of Georgetown, and her uncle Aubrey T. Hudson (Chengcheng) of Lewes, will carry her memory forward with love. She cherished her moments with her grandchild, Harper Burton, the company and kinship of the extended Foulk Family, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Mildred was a dedicated employee in the purchasing department for Justin Tanks, where she formed many lasting friendships and associations over the years. Her work was important, but her passions truly lay beyond the office. A faithful Christian, Mildred loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and exemplified His love through her actions. She was a caretaker to many of her family members over the years. Her life was a balance of family devotion and personal pursuits; from tending her garden, knitting warm tokens of affection, embracing the tranquility of reading, to the thrill of hunting, Mildred's interests painted a picture of a life lived with zest and purpose.

Private services will be held at a later date.

The arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown. Online condolences may be sent to the family at https://www.shortfuneralservicesandcremation.com/.
