Mirthala Violeta Hidalgo De Natareno

GEORGETOWN -- Mirthala Violeta Hidalgo de Natareno passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Mirthala was born in Guatemala to parents Juan Gerardo Hidalgo and Catalina Conception Deleon Barrios.

Mirthala was very community minded and enjoyed doing things for others. She was very active with the Hispanic community in Georgetown and enjoyed being a caregiver and community organizer to help those in need.

She is preceded in death by infant twins, a daughter, Petronila Natareno Hidalgo, and siblings, Rodolfo Hidalgo, Ofelia Hidalgo, Reyes Hidalgo, Clemencia Hidalgo, Toribia Hidalgo, Ronan Hidalgo, and Juan Hidalgo.

Mirthala will be missed by her devoted husband, Fernando Custodio Natareno Sandoval; her children, Keli Adriana Natareno Hidalgo, Fernando Arturo Natareno Hidalgo and wife Liliia, and Jose Luis Natareno Sandoval; grandchildren, Jose’ Adrian Natareno Rabanales and Keyla Yasdel Natareno Rabanales; great grandchildren, Arya Ariz Natareno Hernandez, Adrian Joel Natareno Hernandez, and Alyna Adelina Natareno Hernandez; and two sisters, Olga Hidalgo, and Reyna Hidalgo.

A funeral mass will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, August 30, 2024, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 202 Edward Street, Georgetown, De 19947; where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 4:00pm. Burial will take place in her birth country of Guatemala.  Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services in Georgetown, De.
