Mitchell Ellis Morton

Mitchell Ellis Morton, 37, of Lincoln, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Mitchell was born on May 22, 1985, in Dover to Joseph and Myra (Pritchett) Morton.

Mitchell loved being outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or gardening. He loved racing and drawing as well. He was a self-proclaimed rapper and comedian. He was known for his excellent work ethic.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Loraine (Leach) Morton; and his uncles Wilson Spence and William “Duke” Pritchett.

In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his son, Jaydon J. Morton; his sister, Jackie Lynn Morton; his brother, Joseph Morton, Jr.; his aunt, Monica Pritchett; his niece, Victoria Wilson; his nephew, Legend Wickkiser; his best friend, Mindy Holloway; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. A time of visitation will begin at 11. Interment is private. Online condolences may be sent to the family at shortfuneralservicesandcremation.com.
