Nancy J. (Rotondo) Burd

Nancy (Rotondo) Burd, 82 passed away peacefully at her Milton, DE home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Born on December 2, 1941, to the late Daniel and Merl (Chudley) Rotondo in Dover NJ, she was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Dover, NJ, and attended Cool Spring Presbyterian Church in Harbeson, DE. Nancy volunteered at the Lewes Senior Center. She loved crafting, Penny Bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Burd; her children, Christine Yapaola and her husband Joseph of Hackettstown, NJ, and Danene Burd of Rehoboth DE; Grandchildren, Kimberly Trucksess and husband Patrick, Matthew Yapaola and wife Nicole, Melissa Baull and husband Trevor, Jennifer Cain and husband Lance; her great grandchildren, Maxine, Levi, and Violet; and her sister, Marie Brikowski. She is preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Rotondo.

A time of visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, July 20,2024 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St. Milton, DE 19968.

A time of visitation will also be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the chapel of Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 NJ Rt. 10, Randolph, NJ 07869. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 4 Richards Ave, Dover, NJ 07801.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in memory of Nancy Burd to the Coolspring Presbyterian Church, 28843 Log Cabin Hill Rd, Lewes, DE 19958.
