Nancy Jean Hooper

Nancy Jean Hooper, 88, passed away on December 11, 2024, at her residence of 33 years in Milton, Delaware surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 5, 1936, and raised in the Irwin, PA area, to her parents John and Louise (Kasperek) Lunn. Nancy married Edgar A. Hooper in 1956. They relocated to rural Huntingdon County, PA in 1960 and raised their 4 children there until 1973. The family then moved to the Pittsburgh suburb of Penn Hills, PA.

Nancy nurtured her children to adulthood, then relocated to San Luis Obispo, CA in 1980. Her love for the beaches and natural artistic abilities swelled for 10 years, as she became the activities director for South County Nursing Facility.

Nancy traded coasts and moved to the Milton, DE area in 1990, where she was able to realize her artistic talents. She became an resident artist at Sea Level Designs in South Bethany, as well as garnering a host of private clients with the trade name “ Nancy J.”

Nancy joins two sons, Daniel J. and Robert D. Hooper in the afterlife.

She is survived by her brothers, Paul Lunn and David Lunn, daughter Joyce A. Hooper; son, Bruce A. Hooper and daughters in law, Valerie M. Hooper; Lora Hooper. Also carrying her memory are her two granddaughters, Ashley A. Hooper and Androniki M. Kelleher; mother of two great granddaughters, Hanna R. Kelleher and Thea M. Kelleher.

All will miss the love she shared. Nancy’s passion for beauty and expression through her artwork lives on with her family.
