Norma L. (Moore) Harrison

GEORGETOWN – Norma L. (Moore) Harrison passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Norma was born in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late Ralph W. and Inez (Chafin) Moore. She worked as a secretary with Swift & Company for 26 years, Showell Farms in Maryland for 17 years and Perdue Farms for 3 years before retiring in 1998. Norma loved reading and spending time at the Georgetown Public Library. Norma was also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown. In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by two granddaughters, Alexis Downes and Morgan Holston. She is survived by three children, Diane Emerson, Steven Rash and Carol Scott; four grandchildren, Lacey Rash, Brandy Rash, Jimmy Holston, Jr., and Jeffrey Holston; seven great-grandchildren, Dakota Meyers, Enrique Alston, Thiago Perez, Loralye Johnson, Alyssa Holston, Dylan Holston and Jeffery Holston, Jr.; as well as extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Del. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at Noon. Interment will follow at McColley’s Cemetery. All attending any aspect of the services will be required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
