Norman Joseph Bowers

Norman Joseph Bowers, 93, of Milford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Norman was born on August 10, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Viola Harrington.

Prior to moving to Milford 18 years ago, Norman and his wife lived in Marlton, NJ for 29 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #3. He was an avid reader and film-watcher, and he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Most importantly, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter,

In addition to his mother, Norman is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bowers; his son, Douglas Moore; and his brothers, Raymond and Jimmy Bowers.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Marian (Zeltner) Bowers; his children, Norman Bowers (Betty), David Moore, Dawn Braun (Joe), Sandra Southwick (John), and Jeffrey Moore (Crystal); his brothers, Joseph and Robert Bowers and his wife Kathy; his seven grandchildren, Nicole, Lacee, Jacob, Tori, Alex, Jordan, and Sean; and his great granddaughter, Luna.

Memorial services will be held on a later date in New Jersey. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Online condolences may be sent to the family.
