Pastor Gonzalez-Santiago

Pastor Gonzalez-Santiago, 80 of Seaford passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 31, 2022. Pastor was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Joaquin Gonzalez and Francisca Santiago. He was a Police Officer for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and enjoyed going to the casino, listening to the news, and playing jokes on everyone. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elba I. Gonzalez Aponte; and his brother, Antonio Torres. He is survived by his children, Mariel Burtelle (David), Ricardo ‘Ricky’ Gonzalez Gonzalez (Jellie), Juan Gonzalez Gonzalez; grandchildren, Eric Fourquet Gonzalez (Yasmeen), Yady Fourquet Gonzalez (Gerrod), Sharon Nicole Gonzalez, Sherly Gonzalez, Ann Fourquet, Aaron Burtelle, and Eggie Perez; and great-grandchildren, June Cameron, Isabel Butler, Josie Fourquet, and Gabriella Butler. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 6 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 5 pm. As required by revised mandates during the pandemic, masks will be required for the health and safety of the family and those in attendance. Interment will follow at a later date in Puerto Rico.
