OBITUARY FOR PATRICIA ‘PATSY’ ANN HURD

Patricia ‘Patsy’ Ann Hurd, 71, of Felton, DE, passed peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE, after a long illness.

Patsy was born on March 22, 1953, in Dover, DE to her late parents David Faulkner and Norma Jean Faulkner Cooper.

Patsy worked for the Capital School District for 18 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends most of all. Patsy was a loving and faithful caretaker to many of her family members before becoming ill herself. She had a great laugh and smile and would light up a room. She could also be the life of the party. Patsy endured a lot of pain and loss in her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sarah Lee Faulkner, Sandra Hope Marino and Wayne Robert Faulkner; and her daughter, Lisa Marie Grace who preceded her in death way to soon.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jay Hurd; her children, Donna Jean Turner (Kevin) and Donald Roy Vanderwende Jr.; grandchildren, Da'Shawn Grace, Kevin Turner II, and Da'zha Morris; and her Baby sister, Darlene Faulkner Rose (Stephen).

She will be sadly missed by so many family members and friends who she touched so deeply in her life.
