Patricia Dawson

Patricia Ann Dawson of Dover, DE passed away, Thursday, August 29,2024 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 79.

Patricia was born Dec, 1,1944 in Cressona, PA the daughter of the late William and Mary (Ebert ) Shirey.

Patricia Retired as an office manager for Shirey’s Auto Sales .

She was a life member of the North Bowers Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed reading, shopping, but mostly enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband William Dawson Jr.; two brothers Gary and William Shirey Jr.

She is survived by her children; Denise Matz (Kevin) Georgetown, Lori Ridep (Jason) Dover; Katie Wilson PA; Tracy Williamson (Greg) SC and Maryann Thompson ( Wayne) Milford; sister n law DeLois Shirey Dover; several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held, 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 East Market St. Georgetown, friends may call after 11:00am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to North Bowers Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
