Peggy Stevenson Johnson, 69

January 15, 1954 – March 31, 2023

Peggy Johnson was called home to heaven on March 31st after battling a long illness. She was 69. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gary P. Johnson; her mother-in-law, Pat Murphy; two children: Christina DeMora (Daniel) and Skip Johnson; three grandchildren: Courtney DeMora , Whitney DeMora, and Tony DeMora ; two great grandchildren, Kennsley and Brinley; siblings, Kenny Stevenson (Diane), Lynn Silicato (Dennis), Glen Stevenson (Karen), Terri Campbell (David Lee), Trisha Davis (Mark) , sister- in- law Donna Stevenson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Reese Stevenson in 1975 and Jane Reynolds Stevenson in 2009 ; her brother, David Stevenson in 2009; her father in law, Paul Johnson; and her step father in law, Gene Murphy.

Peggy retired from L.D. Caulk in Milford after 45 years. She enjoyed bowling on a league for many years, taking ceramic classes, visiting car shows with her husband, taking rides with groups on their Harley, traveling with her family in their RV, and yearly weekend trips with her sisters. She was also a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service and will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W Front Street, Milford, DE.   Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
