Penny L. Rogers

Penny L. Rogers, 70, passed away at Bayhealth Sussex Campus on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Penny was born in Lewes to Norman Layton and Eva (Cullen) Tindall. She worked at Stockley Center for over 15 years and was a member of the Georgetown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Degree of Pocahontas. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids as well as crocheting. She was also a Pop Warner Cheerleading coach in the early 80s.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Layton.

Penny is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Rogers, Jr. whom she called Junior; her mother, Eva Tindall; her children, Robert Rogers, III (Kim), Mark Rogers (Kristy), and Stacie Rogers; twin sister, Peggy Clausen and sister, Lee Reed; grandchildren, Robby Rogers, Nathan Rogers, Hunter Rogers, Haley Rogers, and Troy Rogers; 3 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Daye, Gracie Rogers, and Layla Rogers; and her beloved cat, Mo.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE, where friends may call after 11 am. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
