Peter Schrock

Peter “Pete” Schrock, 84, of Milford, passed away on April 14, 2022 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Milford, DE. Pete was born April 24, 1937 in Delaware to the late Emmanuel and Lydia Schrock. Pete served 8 years in the Delaware National Guard. He was also a volunteer at Carlisle Fire Department in Milford, serving many years as an EMT. Pete retired from Baltimore Air Coil in Milford. He was an avid bowler and was an active member of the bowling leagues at Milford Bowling Lanes for many years. He enjoyed taking his nephews bowling with him whenever he got the chance. Aside from bowling, Pete enjoyed tinkering around the house. He loved to travel and visit family on weekends, and did so often. He also enjoyed passing time doing crossword puzzles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Ann Wilkins Schrock; four brothers, Ananias, Amos, Mosie, and Jacob Schrock; and three sisters, Mary Curry, Katie Bailey, and Amanda Hurd. He is survived by two brothers, Tobias and John Schrock; and one sister, Wanda McGinnis. A combined funeral service for Peter and Betty will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 2 pm in the chapel of Freedom Baptist Church, 201 Market St., Frederica, DE 19946, where friends may call after 1 pm. Interment will follow at Milford Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
