Preston Kevin Brittingham

Preston “Kevin” Brittingham, 46 of Georgetown, DE passed away surrounded by his family, November 3 after complications from Covid-19. He was born on November 26, 1974 in Milford, DE to Preston “Dickie” and Patricia Brittingham of Georgetown. Kevin graduated from Sussex Central High School, Georgetown, DE in 1992. He remained a resident of Sussex County. Anyone that met Kevin knew he was passionate about life. He loved a good time with friends and family and always wore a large smile. He was the fun guy to be around. It was the simple things that made him happy and spending time with his kids was at the top of that list. He was loyal to his sports teams which included the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Orioles, and South Carolina Gamecocks. He loved NASCAR and his driver, Kyle Bush. He coached baseball teams at Milford Little League where his oldest son played. He volunteered or coached with his younger sons as well. If there was a sport involved, he was there: cheering near home plate, from the sidelines, or near the glass; and always taking pictures to capture those moments. His greatest joys in life were his “spawns”. He was the father of three boys and they were his world. Anyone that knew him was aware of his dedication to them. Kevin is survived by his parents: Preston and Patricia; his sons: Preston Alexander Dixon, Karter McKinstry Brittingham, and Jayce Channing Brittingham; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Rob Lofland; his nephews: Trent and Reid Lofland; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly. He is also survived by the mothers of his children Heather Webb, Misty McKinstry, and Shannon Joines; and several friends that were like family. A funeral will be held Tuesday, November 9th at 12:30 pm at Short Funeral Services at 416 Federal Street in Milton, DE. Friends and family may gather beginning at 11:00 for the viewing. Interment to follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. The family is requesting this be a casual event. Due to Covid-19 recommendations, we request you wear a mask indoors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations for his sons.
