Robert Alfred Warren, Jr.

Robert Alfred Warren, Jr., AKA “Fat Daddy” or “Bobby”, 77, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at Kent General Hospital on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Bobby was born on February 14, 1946, in Milford to the late Robert, Sr. and Mildred (Beebe) Warren. He attended Milford High School.

Bobby worked as a body technician and eventually opened up Warren’s Body Shop. He then switched careers and worked for Utility Lines installing underground lines for Delaware Electric Co-Op. He raced ponies and was an owner, trainer, and driver for Standardbreds. He was a member of the Diamond State Beagle Club, and he loved coon hunting, rabbit dogs, and deer hunting. Most recently, he was well-known as Mr. Pole Bean Man, having a 5 acre garden dedicated to growing beans and other produce.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Pagden; and granddaughter, Bethany Warren.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Evelyn Warren; his sons, Daniel Warren (Connie), Henry Warren (Nancy), and Robert Warren III (Beth); his sister, Brenda Collins (Mike); his brother-in-law, Jimmy Pagden; six grandchildren, Bryce Warren (Tara), Shannon Smith (Patrick), Robert Warren IV, Kaitlin Warren, Megan Warren, and Alexis Allaband; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. A time of visitation will take place from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Interment is private.
