Robert H. Fanning

Milford - Robert H. Fanning, 87, better known as Bob, passed away on Monday, November 11th, 2024 in his sleep, at home.

Bob was born in New Castle Delaware, the son of late Hilton and Louise Fanning. Bob had many trades in his lifetime - he was a farmer with 40 years of service to Memorial Fire Company who retired to be an antique dealer and the egg guy on Argos Corner.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing, going to the slots and dancing on the weekends, going out to breakfast in town, and making people laugh.

In addition to his parents, Bob was proceeded in death by his late wife of 41 years, Patricia A. Fanning, and their infant son; his brother Jack, and sister Beatrice; and best friend, Rodney Sweet.

Bob is survived by sisters, Caroline and Sara; a Son, Robert L. Fanning of Milford; his granddaughters, Sydney Vail and Emilyee Fanning of Bethany; and great granddaughters, Paisley and Crimson of Bethany.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, at Memorial Volunteer Fire Company Hall, 359 Bay Road, Slaughter Beach, Milford, Del 19963.  A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00am.  Interment will immediately follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle.
