Obituary for Robert John Limbach
Robert John Limbach of Georgetown, DE. Passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.
Robert was born in South Bound Brook, NJ, July 17, 1934, the son of the late John and Anna Limbach. After graduating high school Robert served his country in the United States Army in the Cold War and was Honorably discharged.
After serving his country he worked for Union Carbide Corp. as an Instrument and Electrical Technician and retired after 42 years.
Robert was a faithful man of God and served the Catholic Church.
He was a Volunteer for over 20 years for the Bound Brook Rescue Squad in NJ. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed spending time with his family doing fresh and saltwater fishing and crabbing. Robert also loved to dance and travel as well.
In addition to both parents. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Eileen Limbach in 1992.
Robert is survived by his wife; Lucia Hill "Innacelli" Limbach; 4 children, Donald John (Mary) Limbach of New Jersey, James Allen Limbach of Pennsylvania, Susan Eileen (John) Cromonic, Pennsylvania and, Patrick Scott Limbach of New Jersey and two Stepchildren; Robert Douglas (Michael Anne) Hill of New Jersey and Dr. Matthew Eric (Tracy) Hill of Maryland; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 202 Edward St. Georgetown, DE. Seating starts at 10:00 a.m. and the eulogy will be at 10:15 a.m. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the garysinisefoundation.org (for disabled veterans)
