Robert M. Kemp

Robert M. Kemp, Jr. Robert M. Kemp, Jr., 54, of Harrington passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Bayhealth/Sussex Campus in Milford. Robert was born in Milford, the son of Betty (Dobraski) Kemp and the late Robert M. Kemp, Sr. Robert was a custodian at Lake Forest High School for 31 years, last 4 years being chief custodian. He enjoyed rabbit hunting with his dogs, deer hunting and tinkering on machinery. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son and daughter-in-law and other family members. He also had a good sense of humor and enjoyed watching westerns. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Crystal (Govatos) Kemp; Son, Kyle Kemp and his wife, Heather and his dog, Penny. A special thank you to Betty Ann Truitt for the care she provided to Robert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Harrington Fire Dept., 20 Clark St., Harrington, DE 19952. The family will also be remembering Robert Kemp, Sr., as funeral services were limited due to the Covid pandemic during his passing.
