Obituary for Robin W. Phillips
Robin W. Phillips, 66, of Dagsboro, Delaware passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. Robin was an avid race fan; you could always find him at Georgetown Speedway in the grandstands or Delaware International on the back of the safety truck. Robin was also a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions. His family was everything to him. His favorite titles were POPS and POPPOP. He spent most of his life working at Murray Motors and the diesel shop at Mountaire in Selbyville. He shared a wonderful 44-year marriage with his loving wife, Carol.
He is preceded in death by his father, Milton Phillips; stepfather, Franics Smallwood; Uncle, Jeff Brittingham; and mother-in-law, Anna Mae Long.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Phillips; son, Shane (Genni) of Georgetown; two daughters, Beth (BJ) of Dagsboro, and Shannon (Steven) of Dagsboro; his mother Juanita Smallwood of Laurel; five grandchildren, Andrew, Elijah, Alexis, Ryleigh, and Layne; one great grandchild, Summer; and several brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 12:00pm to 1:00pm, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Delaware, followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. A graveside burial will immediately follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Millsboro Delaware.
