Rosa M. Ruiz-Figueroa

Rosa M. Ruiz-Figueroa, 74, of Milton, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Bridgeville. Rosa was born in Mexico to the late Antonio Ruiz-Arias and Maria Faustina Arias. She moved to the United States in 1978. Rosa was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Georgetown. She loved sewing, dancing, singing, and doing word searches. She was known as the life of the party. She was also a friendly face from her employment with Milton Family Dollar and Georgetown Walmart. Most of all, she was a devoted grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Silvia Rodríguez. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Francisco Lares-Suarez; her children, María Isabel Torres, Monica Ruiz, and Rocio Lares; six sisters and one brother; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St. Milton, DE 19968. A time of visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Interment is private. A time of fellowship with the family will be held immediately following the services at Goshen Hall, 116 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware 19968.
