Rose M. (Messick) Warren, 79

LINCOLN – Rose M. Warren passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Rose was born in Milford, Delaware, daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Clendaniel) Messick. She was raised by her aunt, Agnes Dawson, who held a special place in her heart.

Rose worked as a union administrative assistant for Local 847 for 15 years. She also worked alongside Pat Davis at Bridal Boutique in Milford for many years making magic happen with dresses and tuxedos for numerous formal occasions. She is a member of the Milford Moose Lodge, including serving as past Senior Regent, where her involvement reflected her commitment to the community.

Rose found joy in life's simple pleasures- spending time with family, camping, gardening, and making beautiful flower arrangements. She thoroughly enjoyed creating cards for all occasions, which brought smiles to so many. Her creativity and generous spirit touched everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Butch” Warren; a loving daughter, Melinda Haines; and a sister, Mary Jane Mariner.

Rose is survived by her two sons, John Warren and wife Lisa, Robert Warren and wife Suzanne; five grandchildren, Brooke, Christopher, Cara, Spencer and Nickolas; three great-grandchildren, Tyson, Ryder and Nova; two sisters, Ethel White and Ruth Ann Fitzgerald; her furry friends, Freddie and Beau; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Del, where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at Noon. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.
