Ruth L. Bradley

Ruth L. Bradley, 93, of Felton, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Cadia Healthcare Capitol in Dover.

Ruth was born in Felton on April 11, 1930, to the late Roland and Mary (Green) Legates.

Ruth worked as a clerk for Capitol Cleaners for 46 years. She was a member of Kent Chapter II O.E.S. in Harrington, Delaware, and also attended services at Church of Christ and Christian Union in Henderson, MD. In her free time she enjoyed needlework like crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Bradley; her daughter Barbara Welch; her sisters: Doris Legates, Sarah Murphy, Betty Cornell, and Pearl Ross; and her brother-in-law Bobby Spence.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Roger Bradley (Irene) of Felton and Kaye Argo (Ronald) of Felton; her sister Norma Spence of Bucyrus, OH; as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 E. Main St. Felton, DE 19943. A time of visitation will be held prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
