Shakuntala "Maiya" Baidya Thomas

Devoted mother and wife, Maiya Shakuntala Baidya Thomas was a kind and giving soul. On Friday, June 9th, 2023, Maiya passed away from long-term effects of COVID-19 and pneumonia.

Born in Biratnagar, Nepal, and citizen of the United States, Maiya was known to care for and feed her friends and family in times of need; nourishing their heart, body, and soul with her kindness.

She is survived by her daughter, Suja Shrestha and daughter's husband, Sabin Shrestha; and her husband, Raymond Thomas.

A ceremony and prayers for Maiya are to be held at 10:00am, June 16th, 2023 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 E. Main Street, Felton, DE 19943.

May she rest in peace and Aatma Ko Sadgati Prapt Ho.
