Stephen 'Steve' D. Greenly

Stephen ‘Steve’ D. Greenly, 76, of Ellendale, DE passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 8, 2024.

He was born on July 23, 1948, to his parents David A. and Wanda (Kibler) Greenly in Milford, DE.

Steve had his own sign business for 25 years, known as Steve’s Sign Service and then was a Respiratory Therapist with Bayhealth for 20 years. He served his county in the Navy. Steve loved playing guitar, bass fishing, restoration of vintage trucks, also was a good joke teller, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, David A. and Wanda (Kibler) Greenly.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Julie (Ennis) Greenly; son, Mark Stephen Greenly (Kelly); and daughter, Stephanie Greenly Forwood (Scott); brother, David Greenly (Charlotte); nephew, Jeff Greenly and grandsons, Conor Greenly and Scottie Forwood.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, DE 19963 or Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947 in Steve’s memory.

The family has decided to have a Celebration of Life for Steve at a later date.
