Susanna I. 'Nana" Ross

Susanna Iris Ross, 65 SEAFORD – Susanna Iris “Nana” Ross passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born in Seaford, Delaware daughter of Ruby U. (Hastings) Ross Anderson of Laurel, Delaware and the late Frank Ross. Nana lived at the Stockley Center in Millsboro before moving to Seaford Neighborhood Home (a residential home owned and operated by The Salvation Army). Nana enjoyed putting together puzzles, listening to music, going on outings and relaxing at home. Nana especially enjoyed brushing her hair several times daily and had to know where her hairbrush was at all times. In addition to brushing her own hair, she would sit for hours watching other people get their hair done. Nana is survived by her mother, Ruby of Laurel, and a brother, Clayton Ross of Bridgeville. She is also survived by her friends and caretakers at Seaford Neighborhood Home; especially her special staff member Demenika “Missy” Dale, whom Nana has known for 17 years. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, February 25, 2022 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, DE 19947. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Laurel, De. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Seaford Neighborhood Home staff for their loving care of Nana.
