Talbert "Tab" Benjamin Roberts

Georgetown--Talbert (Tab) Benjamin Roberts, Sr. of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at home. He was 95.

Tab was born in Millsboro on May 4, 1927, the son of the late Harvey E., Sr., and Pearl H. (Hinner) Roberts. Tab served in the U.S. Navy before becoming owner and operator of Roberts Septic Inc. in 1979. After he retired, he turned his business over to his son and grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phoebe Roberts and his second wife Pat Roberts. Tab was also preceded in death by his daughter Sharon E. Weller.

He is survived by his daughter Linda R. Papp (George) of FL. His son Butch Roberts of Georgetown, DE; sister Gertrude Roberts Douglas of FL; grandchildren Marty Weller, Chis Weller, Nutter D. Marvel, IV (Bo) and Ben Roberts.

A viewing will be held, 5-7pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE with a funeral service to follow at 7pm. Burial will be private.
