Ted E. Drummond

Theodore Ernest ‘Ted’ Drummond, 83, of Greenwood, passed peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Country Rest Home in Greenwood, Delaware. Ted was born on December 26, 1938 in Georgetown, Delaware to the late Douglas A. and Mary C. (Joseph) Drummond. Ted loved playing pool and was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and the Milford Senior Center, where he enjoyed many hours of shooting pool with his buddies. He drove trucks for over forty years and was very proud of his Kenworth with a 600 Cummins engine. In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by his only sibling, William D. Drummond; and three children, Diane Mary, Richard Douglas, and Teresa Lynn Fitzpatrick. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Rebecca (Yoder) Drummond; his four children, Shelly Ann Kelly of Canonsburg, PA, Linda Lee Alkan of Delmar, MD, Stephen Douglas (Kathy) of Laurel, DE, and Lee Anderson (Holly) of Detroit, Michigan; as well as eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11-1 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. Gravesides services will begin at 1:15 at Milford Community Cemetery.
