Thomas E. "Tom" Schulte

Thomas E. Schulte, 73, of Milton, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, with his loving wife of 46 years by his side.

Tom was born November 15, 1950, to Robert P. Schulte and Joan A. Bright (Hilker) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He spent most of his childhood in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to New Jersey in 1967, graduating high school from Hopewell Valley Central. Tom earned his bachelor’s degree from Rider College (now University) majoring in accounting. After graduation he worked at Dow Jones and Company for 27 years. Tom held several positions, including a five-year assignment to a subsidiary’s office in London.

He was married in 1978 to Frances A. Schulte (formerly Skube) from Forrest City, Pennsylvania. Tom and Fran went on to have three children: Daniel Schulte (wife – Laurie), Theresa Neelan (husband – Steven), Jennifer Schulte (husband – Erick). Tom was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren: Charlotte, Christian, Mya, Grayson, Reyna, and Edith.

Following his retirement, Tom and his wife moved to Milton, Delaware. Together, Tom and Fran enjoyed their time traveling, nurturing friendships, and spoiling their grandchildren.

Tom is predeceased by his mother, father, and brother, William Schulte, (wife Rebecca). He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his siblings, James Schulte (wife Suzanne), Donald Schulte, Kenneth Schulte (wife Jeanine), Diana Kemler, and Dennis Schulte.

Services will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Dr, Lewes, DE on Friday, May 17, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10am, followed by Mass at 11am, and a luncheon.
