Thomas Norcross Tillman Sr. of Lewes passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 20, 2024.
Born April 4, 1938 in Camden, NJ, he was the youngest of eleven children born to Antone and Barbara (Rasbach) Tillman of Oaklyn NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers, five sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a 1957 graduate of Collingswood High School. He attended Temple University and was a proud Army Reserve Veteran. He worked for PSEG until his retirement at 50 years old.
He met his loving wife of 62 years, Carole, in the summer of 1960. They were married on April 28, 1962. They have four children: Valerie (Tim) Biggs and their eight children of Milton, DE, Tom Jr. (Tracey) Tillman and their two children of Lewes, DE, Rick (Jackie) Tillman and their three children, one son-in-law, one fiancé of Mantua, NJ, Mike (Kim) Tillman and their two children of Mantua, NJ.
Tom enjoyed many years of travel with his wife Carole and kids. Among their favorite places were Europe, Isreal, Egypt, and their trip across country. They lived in Mantua for thirty-five years until they moved to Lewes, DE where they lived ever since.
Tom was a man who loved the Lord and was a dedicated family man. He was everyone’s favorite uncle.
Please join the family to celebrate Tom’s life between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Mantua VFW at 8 New York Ave Mantua, NJ 08051. A flag folding ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm to honor Thomas Tillman’s service to our nation.
