William 'Bill' Wayne Wilkins

August 12, 1951 — March 29, 2021

MILFORD - William “Bill” Wilkins, 69, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021. He was born in Milford on August 12, 1951. Bill graduated from Milford High in 1969 and then moved on to join the U.S. Army National Guard. From the time of a young boy and throughout his adulthood he worked on the family farm, as well as Charles West Farm for several years. He was a big fan of NASCAR, fishing and football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his father, Hirschel Wilkins; and sister, Michele Holmes. Bill is survived by his mother, Eliza Jane Wilkins; three daughters, Lynn Wilkins and partner, Donna Macey, Christy Wilkins Porter and husband, John Porter, and his youngest daughter, Brenda Wilkins; three grandchildren, Justin Ori, Lillian Ridgely and Crispin Porter; sister, Beverly Neibert and partner, Terry Pitman, brother, Richard Wilkins and wife, Donna, sister, Merrie Jones; nephews, Chris Neibert and wife, Jenna, Chris Jones and wife, Kate; and niece, Megan Connell and husband, Ryan. A time of visitation will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. All in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Elizabeth E. Murphey School, 42 Kings Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
