William Edward Davidson

MILTON – William Edward Davidson of Milton, formerly of Beltsville, Md., passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at home. He was 85. Bill was born in Short Creek, W.Va., the son of the late Lillie and Robert Davidson. He was a government contractor working at the Office of Naval Intelligence upon his retirement and previously worked at Vitro Corporation. He attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown and enjoyed the fellowship. He loved going to the beach and watching people stroll by on the boardwalk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jean Davidson. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Sargent and her husband Gary of Maryland, Randall Davidson and his wife Jennifer of Virginia and Charles Davidson and his wife Debbie of Florida; one brother, Jack Davidson and his wife Rose of Michigan; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and his devoted friend, Linda Lamanna of Delaware. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE 19947; Eagles Nest Christian School, P.O. Box 129, Milton, DE 19968; Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Services, Milton.
