William Frank Morris, Jr.

September 25, 1927 — April 8, 2021

William “Frank” Morris, Jr. was born September 25, 1927 and passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover, DE. Frank was born in Centreville, Maryland, the son of late William F. “Pappy” Morris and Stella Palmatary. He was in the Army from 1945-1948 and the Air Force from 1949-1951. Frank earned several medals and a purple heart during his time in the service. After the Armed Forces he was a mechanic and truck driver until he retired. He loved to go camping with family and friends, dancing at the Harrington Moose Lodge, and building his extensive model trains display. Most of all he enjoyed spending a lot of time with his family. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded by his wife, Hilda (Minner) of 47 years; and sister, Irene Saffell. He is survived by his sister, Betty Sietsma; nine children, Brenda and husband Roy Thompson, Francis and wife Gale Morris, Sandy and husband James Kelley, Joe and companion Bonnie Kirby, Norman and wife Sharon Morris, Patti and husband Tom Rust, Barry and wife Terri Morris, Judy and husband Lee Roy Combs, and Gwen and husband Claude Lynch; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 am on April 17, 2021 at the Lincoln Cemetery on Clendaniel Pond Rd in Lincoln, DE. Please dress casually. A Celebration of Life to follow at Carlisle Fire Hall in Milford, DE. All in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Frank’s name be made to your favorite charity.
