William H. “Bill” Mullahy, 88
LINCOLN – William H. “Bill” Mullahy passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Bill was born in Newton, Massachusetts and was a proud Navy veteran. He lived in New Jersey for many years prior to relocating, with his wife Dorothy, to Lincoln. He retired from the US Navy after 20 years’ service that spanned the later years of the Korean War and through the Vietnam War. He served part of that time at sea on the USS Richard L. Page and received an Antarctica Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1981 with the rank of Ships Serviceman First Class.
After retiring from the US Navy, Bill, not one to sit still, worked for 10 years for the City of Rehoboth in parking enforcement as a meter reader.
He was a loving husband with a sweet smile; a quiet man who left this world too soon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dorothy (Maag) Mullahy; a daughter, Debra Garrion, and her family; a stepson, Charles R. Murphy, and his family; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by three stepchildren, Patricia Simone, Kathy King, and Thomas Murphy.
A funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, De 19966.
