William R. Bone, 81, of Bridgeville passed away peacefully at Tidal Health Nanticoke on Monday, January 17, 2022. William was born in Cumberland, MD to the late Maxwell and Mary Bone. He served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne and was a trucker driver with Lee Way Motor Freight. He attended God’s Missionary Church in Delmar. William loved fishing, fixing things, puzzles, and computer games. He also loved to tend his garden and also had a greenhouse, he truly had a green thumb. In his younger years he worked on, built, and liked to race cars. He also had a talent for crafting custom fishing rods. William also enjoyed helping anybody with anything. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James ‘Jim’ O. Bone. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy K. (Black) Bone; sons, Brian L. Bone (Patty) and Carl V. Bone (Tiffany); sister, Darlene Campbell; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel of God’s Missionary Church, 29436 Connelly Mill Rd., Delmar, MD 21875, where friends may call after 11:30 am. As required by revised mandates during the pandemic, masks will be required for the health and safety of the family and those in attendance. Interment will follow at a later date.
