William Scott "Scotty" Robbins

February 15, 1976 — May 10, 2023

On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, William Scott Robbins, age 47 (a Milford native known as "Scott", "Scotty", “Patches”, “Hatchet”) passed away in a motorcycle accident in Bensalem Township, PA. Having graduated from James H. Groves High School (Class of 1993), he was a construction, roofing, and siding tradesman for many years. He worked for many construction companies (Nanticoke Homes and Humes Construction to name two) around lower Delaware before and after starting and building his own company, “Scott Robbins Construction” in his late 20’s, to which he was very proud of. He loved and felt great pride and satisfaction in working with his hands and enjoyed seeing the results of his hard work in the many homes and buildings he built or repaired around DE; often driving by and pointing out his work to his wife, children, family, and friends. Those who loved him knew him as kind, caring, sincere, thoughtful, quiet, and reserved man of few words with a wealth of wisdom and someone always ready to jump in and help anyone in need whether he knew them or not. He loved making people smile and often expressed, "That's what it's all about--making someone's day better if you can."

Scott valued everyone in his family and treasured each of his children greatly, whether near or far. He gave them his generous sense of humor and taught them a love for nature, animals, the outdoors, and the importance of fun and laughter in day-to-day life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles (so much so that, while Harleys were his favorite, he would happily jump on any motorcycle and enjoy the ride), four-wheelers, paintball fights, tattooing, target shooting, hunting, and fishing. He would often cut his workday short just to go fishing with friends or by himself. Scott faced many challenges and difficult times in his life, he worked hard to overcome many things, and was unapologetically and proudly himself no matter who he was around. He was a man of a great amount of strength: physically, mentally, and in his spirit. He was a man of faith and knew at the end of the day everything was between him and God above. He was a man who held strong, deep pride in his country, our Military (the Marines being his favorite), standing up for what he believed in, helping his loved ones and fellow man, being a loyal, true man to family, friends, and even strangers. His passion for riding motorcycles provided him with a true sense of freedom. His FXDX Super Glide Sport Harley Davidson was one of his most prized possessions and affectionately referred to as “the other women and 2nd wife” by his wife, Krystal. His favorite quote in difficult times, "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it." (Charles Swindoll).

Scott is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend, first and last love, partner in this life, trusted confidant, and wife, Krystal Lynn, their daughter, Willow Kaylynn Joy, son, James B. Stratman; as well as his grown children, Cayley Robbins (Sarah Wetter) of Florida and Wm. Alex Robbins (Da'Miqua Duncan) and granddaughter, Avia Robbins (who he loved dearly and proudly showed her pictures to those he knew) of North Carolina; his mother, Karen Garritson and husband Curt; his father, William P. Robbins and spouse, Gary Ralph; nephews, Anthony Sennett, Edward Thompson, Jr., Andreu West, and Dale Griffith and nieces, Sky Thompson and Brittany West; sister-in-law and longtime friend Sherry Griffith (Mark Griffith); brother-in-law John West; his father-in-law George West (Monica); mother-in-law Mary Navalaney (Ralph Blades); his brother in life Robin Alberts; extended family in Delaware and Pennsylvania along with numerous friends and fellow bikers (many of whom he called brothers). Scott was predeceased by his beloved and cherished sister, Jaime D. Robbins. He was a good man with a beautiful heart and amazing spirit. He had a passion for life and an infectious sense of humor, smile, grin, and laugh. He will be greatly missed by many.
