Wilsie Carmean Cubbage Haber, 98, of Dover, passed away peacefully at Kent General Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Wilsie was born in Snow Hill, MD to the late Dorsey and Mary Carmean. She was a secretary for her husband, Hammond Cubbage at the University of Delaware and she loved to read. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, I. Hammond Cubbage; her second husband, Richard Haber; sisters, Betty and Grace Ellen; good friend, Horace Cook; and a family friend, Josh West. She is survived by her sons, Cliff (Robin) Cubbage and Jeffrey (Terri) Cubbage; 4 grandchildren, Natassja (Duke) Durham, Christopher (Laura) Cubbage, Ashley Cubbage, and Chip Cubbage; 3 great-grandchildren, Alijah, Briana, and Carlie. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January, 18, 2021 at 1 pm at Cow Marsh Cemetery, 2955 Willow Grove Rd., Camden Wyoming, DE 19934. Those in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols. In lieu of flowers donations in Wilsie’s memory can be made to: Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
